The Questrom School of Business at Boston University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Accounting starting Fall 2024.

Responsibilities:

The standard teaching load is three sections per semester (Fall and Spring). The ability to teach introductory financial or managerial accounting in the undergraduate program is highly preferred, though other teaching areas will be considered.


Qualifications: prospective candidates should possess the following:

  • at least a Master’s degree or professional certification (CPA strongly preferred)
  • a record of teaching effectiveness at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels in a variety of modalities including classroom, online, experiential and hybrid
  • professional experience in accounting or finance (public accounting strongly preferred)
  • familiarity with CPA certification requirements and testing
  • a track record of contributing to a vibrant intellectual community as evidenced by involvement with professional and/or educational membership organizations and/or publication of related subject content in journals, blogs or other outlets
  • a commitment to Questrom culture and values, including regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion
