Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Statistics faculty position in the Department of Statistics and Analytical Sciences that begins August 2020.
The candidate would be expected to teach introductory statistics courses and courses in the undergraduate minor in Applied Statistics and Data Analysis as well as the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) first-year seminar. The CSM’s Student Success Initiative has an imperative for including and fostering success for students from a diversity of backgrounds in STEM degree programs. Successful applicants will be strongly committed to inclusive teaching practices and student success among the college’s disciplines and be ready to invest deeply in KSU students. In addition to teaching, the lecturer is expected to engage in service to the department.
Additional responsibilities for this position will include participation in the development and coordination of a second general education statistics course and coordination of the Learning Support corequisite course for the Elementary Statistics course.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Qualified applicants will have: 1) at least a Master’s degree in Statistics or a closely related field or the foreign equivalent; 2) be able to demonstrate effective teaching of statistics; 3) be proficient in a statistical analysis package such as SAS, Minitab, JMP or R.
