The candidate will teach a variety of either in-person and/or online undergraduate courses within the discipline, including Social Inequality, Research Methods, and/or Statistics, in addition to courses in their area of specialty.

The teaching load is 5-5, with service obligations as assigned by the department chair.

This is a one-semester position.




Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must have received a doctorate in Sociology from a regionally-accredited institution by the time of employment.
  • Candidates must have experience teaching at the collegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • While the teaching and research specialization is open, preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching Social Inequality and Research Methods, in addition to other upper-level specialty courses in Sociology.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with successful experience teaching online courses.
