Position Summary | Indiana University Bloomington’s Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies seeks to fill two full-time lecturer positions in Korean language to begin August 1, 2023. The positions are 100% in HLS’s renowned multidisciplinary Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures (EALC). Each successful candidate will be appointed with an initial three-year contract, renewable annually, with promotion to senior lecturer and long-term contract in the sixth year for excellent performance. Duties include a three-course workload per semester and active involvement in training and supervising graduate student teaching assistants, conducting placement tests, and other duties related to program management and development. |
Basic Qualifications | Minimum qualifications: MA in Korean language and linguistics, language pedagogy, applied linguistics or related field; native or near-native proficiency in Korean and English; prior experience and demonstrated success in teaching Korean at the college level in the U.S. Applicants must be qualified to teach Korean language at all levels . |
