Position Summary | The Department of Economics at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer of Economics position that will begin August 10, 2023. The initial appointment will be issued for a two-year period, with subsequent renewal contingent on a successful performance review, department/program needs, and availability of funds. The successful applicant will be expected to be an effective instructor with a 3-3 teaching load. The Department of Economics values demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching in a highly selective liberal arts environment. We seek an individual who is prepared to teach rigorous courses—primarily principles of economics, microeconomic and/or macroeconomic theory, statistics and/or econometrics, and classes in fields of their specialization. We particularly value candidates with experience teaching a wide range of different courses. |
Required Qualifications | Masters degree from an accredited institution in Economics or a related field is required. |
Preferred Qualifications | Ph.D. in Economics from an accredited institution is preferred at the time the candidate begins appointment, August 10, 2023. |
