Position Summary
A Business faculty appointment at the rank of Lecturer is available August 1, 2024, in the Division of Business at IU Columbus.  This position is a non-tenure track ten-month teaching faculty appointment with primary responsibilities of teaching, and research and service that supports teaching. The initial appointment will be for three years with opportunity for annual reappointments. The Lecturer is responsible for teaching courses in finance and other business topical areas as necessary. In addition to serving as a Lecturer, the unit also seeks to have the candidate for this position to additionally assist with curriculum and accreditation, and to direct the MBA program. Ideally, the candidate should have a proven track record in the ability to teach well at the college level and graduate school level, in the course areas of finance, accounting, economics, and operations.

Basic Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in business from a quality institution of higher education. A doctorate is preferred, but not required. Teaching experience is required. Industry experience preferred. Preferred industries would include commercial banking, investment banking, consulting, Treasury department, or public accounting. Connections to leaders of area businesses would be preferred.
