Alongside traditional threats and disasters, governments, businesses, and communities are facing emerging challenges due to environmental threats, infrastructure protection and cybersecurity risk. Combining academic inquiry with emergency management practice, the Master of Science in Threat and Response Management helps students prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises and disaster.

Applicants must have relevant experience in emergency management, homeland or national security, cybersecurity, environmental security, social sciences, public policy, public health, legal and ethical issues, or a related field.

The program operates in an executive, monthly format and includes nine (9) hours of instruction one three-day weekend each month on Thursday, Friday, Saturday.  Classes are scheduled during morning, afternoon, and evening hours. Courses meet for three consecutive months during each 9 or 10-week quarter for a total of 27 instructional hours.  For the academic year 2021-2022, the first weekend of courses each quarter will be held in person, and the last two weekends of the quarter will be remote.
