The College of Science and Mathematics at Kennesaw State University invites applications for nine-month, non-tenure track lecturer positions to begin Fall 2019. Qualified applicants will have teaching experience in a field within the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM): Chemistry, Biochemistry, Ecology, Evolution, Organismal Biology, Mathematics, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Physics, Statistics and Analytical Sciences. Teaching assignments will include the CSM first-year seminar course as well as courses within the candidate’s discipline. Lecturers in the CSM are expected to teach 4-5 courses each semester. The CSM’s Student Success Initiative has an imperative for including and fostering success for students from a diversity of backgrounds in STEM degree programs. The first-year seminar course is an integral part of our first-year learning communities and is aimed at creating community amongst first-semester students in CSM disciplines, involving them in quantitative research, and promoting good metacognitive strategies to increase their likelihood of success in college and most especially in science and mathematics. Successful applicants will be strongly committed to inclusive teaching practices and student success among CSM disciplines and be ready to invest deeply in KSU students.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

An earned masters or doctoral degree in one of the disciplines of the College of Science and Mathematics or the foreign equivalent is required.
