LECTURER IN PHILOSOPHY

Teach during the Spring 2022 semester. Duties include: prepare and present lectures; hold office hours; prepare, administer and grade exams; submit grades. Typical course needs include Introduction to Philosophy (101), Introductory Ethics (241), or Contemporary Moral Issues (341). May supervise a graduate student teaching assistant, if one is assigned to the course.

The Department of Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is searching for a philosopher to teach undergraduate courses such as introduction to philosophy, introductory ethics and contemporary moral issues, based upon department needs. Each course would be hired at 40% FTE for the Spring 2022 semester starting January 6, 2022 through May 22, 2022.
