    Position title: Temporary Lecturer
    Salary range: See Table 15 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimated full-time rate for this position at 100% time is $64,329 to $70,295 annually. Percent appointments may vary, up to 100%.

    Position description

    The Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified lecturers to teach lecture and lab courses in Biochemistry, Molecular Genetics, Cell Biology, and Developmental Biology for upcoming openings. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as teaching needs arise. The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service.

    The posting will remain open until, and close on, March 31, 2024 to accommodate department needs. If you would like to continue to be considered after that time, and the pooled position is advertised again, you will need to submit a new application.

    Qualifications
    Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

    At a minimum, applicants must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. (or equivalent) except the dissertation (or equivalent) in Molecular or Cellular Sciences, or related field.


    Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

    Applicants must have a PhD degree or equivalent in Molecular or Cellular Sciences, or related field by the time of appointment.


    Preferred qualifications

    Teaching experience at the college level in a related field is preferred
