The University of Michigan School of Information (UMSI) seeks qualified individuals as Lecturer III to provide instruction in the field of Information studies. We are looking for excellent people across a range of disciplines including User Experience Design and Data Science in particular. In our data science programs, this could include teaching Python programming and data science skills and techniques. In our User Experience Design curriculum, this could include teaching user research, user interface design, project management, agile software development, or some related topics.

Instructors may be working with students in either our residential program or in our online Applied Data Science program. Students in the online degree program take four-week classes on the Coursera platform. Given the online degree program structure, there will be a variety of classes that change from month to month. Course assignments are made in advance giving teaching faculty ample time to prepare.

The residential program features traditional 14-week semesters. You may be assigned course development responsibilities in either residential and/or online programs.
