The Department of Biochemistry at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for BCHM 100A “Advanced Introductory Biochemistry”, a 4-credit course in Spring 2024.
Course topics include protein and nucleic acid structure; chemical basis of enzyme-catalyzed reaction mechanisms and enzyme kinetics; the chemical logic of metabolic pathways, including glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation; and regulation of enzymatic pathways through allosteric control. Undergraduate level.

The class meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:10-11am. Class size is typically 20-40 students.

Candidates with a PhD and teaching experience relevant to the course will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, a draft course syllabus, and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is November 21, 2023.
