Position Summary
Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) – Bloomington is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our education mission and be a part of a cohort of teaching scholars, beginning June 1, 2024. The Lecturer position is a non-tenure-track appointment within the Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology of the IU School of Medicine, with teaching and administrative responsibilities located at the IUSM-Bloomington and IU-Bloomington campus.
We seek candidates who have experience teaching diverse populations of students by creating inclusive classrooms and utilizing cutting edge teaching methodology, including small group teaching, and problem-based learning. The ideal applicant will have a strong commitment to mentor students interested in anatomy, physiology, education, and medicine.
The successful candidate will participate in the teaching of undergraduate students in Anatomy 225 (ANAT-A225), graduate students earning their degree in Anatomy, on the Education Track, and medical students in the phase 1 of their Medical Doctorate program. The faculty member will also have administrative responsibility as the campus site director for UDOS courses, as well as the course director of ANAT-A225. The individual will also supervise undergraduate teaching associates (UTAs) in ANAT-A225. This individual will be a role model and positive professional influence for undergraduate, graduate and medical students.

Basic Qualifications
MS in anatomy, physiology, science education, or a relevant science-related field. Extensive experience teaching in a Medical Doctorate program, experience mentoring and teaching PhD graduate students in Anatomy and Physiology, experience teaching large-enrollment basic human anatomy courses
