Description: Princeton University's Effron Center for the Study of America has an occasional need for Lecturers specializing in American Studies, Asian American Studies, and/or Latino Studies to teach undergraduate seminars or precepts (sections) of lecture classes. Appointment duty time will depend upon student enrollments, and any academic year 2023-24 positions are expected to begin September 1, 2023, or January 16, 2024, depending on the needs of the Center. Any potential for renewal will be subject to enrollments and department need. The positions require leading discussions, attending course lectures, being available for meetings with the course instructor(s), holding regular on-campus office hours, and grading student exams and papers. An advanced degree is required. Candidates working in the social sciences, environmental humanities, gender and sexuality studies, and comparative race and ethnicity are encouraged to apply.
