Summary of Duties: 

Lecturer-Computer Science, School of Engineering and Computer Science, Vancouver Campus


Washington State University Vancouver, WA campus invites applications for one non-tenure-track position at the Lecturer level beginning August 16, 2023. 


The primary responsibility is to teach and develop undergraduate courses in computer science. Candidates with a PhD are also expected to participate in graduate education.  Other responsibilities include holding office hours, advising, conducting course assessments, service contributions on committees, participation in recruitment events and contributing to our campus diversity goals (e.g. incorporate issues of diversity into mentoring, curriculum, or service).

Required Qualifications

MS in Computer Science or a related field or expecting an MS degree within 6 months from the start date of the position; experience in application programming and Linux/Unix programming tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College level teaching experience.

  • Teaching interest in at least two areas of: theory, human computer interaction, web development, distributed computing, cloud/mobile computing.

  • Industry experience.

  • ABET accreditation experience.

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field

$50,000-$55,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
