Job Description Summary
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn University invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track faculty Lecturer position to begin, ideally, with the Spring 2022 semester. This position is on an annual contract that is renewable based on need, funding, and performance.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate general chemistry courses with a possibility of organic or other upper division departmental courses depending upon expertise. Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field at the time appointment begins. Instructional experience and a record of high-quality teaching at the university level is required. The successful candidate must possess excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in teaching large enrollment (>100 students) courses, experience with student-centered active learning pedagogies, proficiency with online assessment and instruction, and creating an inclusive teaching environment are desired.
