Located within the College of Continuing Education, OU CPM specializes in providing training, research, and consulting to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of public sector agencies, staff, and community partners. Responsible for program administration in addition to monitoring projects, program evaluations, and developing long range plans.

  • Directs program administration, implementation, tracking and budget development.
  • Oversees learning and development programs and associated learning systems, processes and tools.
  • Identifies technologies and strategies to ensure effective workplace learning solutions.
  • Guides analysis and reporting efforts to ensure effective learning outcomes and stakeholder communication.
  • Develops an overarching vision and strategy for programs.
  • Establishes operational and strategic unit goals.
  • Explores and creates new program opportunities. Coordinates with internal and external constituents and staff to foster program growth.

Performs related duties as assigned to successfully fulfill the functions

 

Job Requirements

Required Education: Master's degree, AND: 

  • 24 months related experience

Equivalency/Substitution:  Will accept 72 months experience in lieu of the Master's degree for a total of 96 months related experience.

Skills:

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to build rapport with students, faculty and staff
  • Ability to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations effectively
  • Ability to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
  • Strong initiative to solve problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations effectively.
  • Ability to guide data collection and analysis efforts and evaluate learning outcomes

Certifications:

  • None

Advertised Physical Requirements:

Departmental Preferences:

  • 48 months experience overseeing adult learning and development
  • 48 months experience in program and project management

Supervision: 1 TPMS I, 2 Program Specialist II
