Description

 

Leads the day-to-day user support provided within the central IT support center to faculty, staff and students on five operating systems and associated hardware and software.

  • Coordinates the day-to-day user support activities within the central IT support center and provides customer support, including software sales, inventory, and reporting.
  • Leads, mentors and trains technical support staff and supervises student workers.
  • Administers security and user authorization privileges for administrative computing systems, including account creations, permission changes and password resets.
  • Assists leadership in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to support services, resource allocation, and user training.
  • Develops manuals and documentation for user support operations.
  • Assists with testing and implementation of new and upgraded software and technologies.
  • Analyzes and resolves the more complex computer programs or problems that cannot be resolved by front line support.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     Bachelors and 3 years experience

    Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

    Salary: $3,881.00 - $5,047.00
