Responsible for the routine maintenance and housekeeping of the Wortham House and leads and trains housekeeping staff.

1. Responsible for the daily cleanliness and sanitation of the second floor private residence, including the kitchen, bathrooms, great rooms and other private areas.

2. Launders and folds all linens on a daily basis.

3. Dust and clean all furniture, art, windows, baseboards, and vacuums carpet of the third and second floor.

4. Performs general housekeeping work in the garage apartment twice per week.
5. Coordinates staff to prepare property and materials for special events.

6. Serves as point of contact and on site coordinator for all visitors including vendors, facilities management staff and guests.
7. Serves as property custodian, manages inventory, and make recommendations for housekeeping-supplies and materials needed.
8. Reports issues and maintenance request to supervisor.

9. Provide training and work direction to housekeepers, and inspects work areas to ensure completion.

10. Serves as staff liaison to residents.
11. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications

 

High school and 3 years experience.

Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED.

Three (3) years of direct work experience is required.

Additional Information / Preferred Qualifications:

This position will be located at the UHS Wortham House, 1505 South Blvd, Houston, TX 77006. Personal transportation is required.

Previous residential and commercial cleaning experience; estates, hotels, hospitals, schools or office buildings, etc. is required.

This position requires extreme attention to detail, a flexible team player, and excellent communication skills. The role involves a high level of customer service with executives, diverse constituents, working with pets and a varied work schedule (may include evenings and weekends) depending on scheduled events.

The person in this role must be able to communicate fluently in English and be very comfortable with both written and verbal communications, as the person in this role engages with the executives, residents, visitors, staff, guests and vendors.

Salary: 13.32 - 16.64
