The Lead Education Program Coordinator ensures compliance with current guidelines of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and applicable specialty boards. This position coordinates the day-to-day operations of the residency and/or fellowship program for residents and fellows under the guidance of the Program Director and ensures planning activities, assessments, data analysis, and reports are completed efficiently and in a timely manner. This position maintains critical files and information.
Duties:
- Coordinates and facilitates Diagnostic Radiology residency programs.
- Assists with developing training materials for facilitators.
- Participates in the development, scheduling, and implementation of marketing and enrollment plans.
- Assist with the development of marketing strategies to promote programs.
- Develops and maintains relationships with various external businesses, organizations, schools, etc.
- Keeps these stakeholders informed of programs and addresses any questions/concerns.
- Compiles and prepares periodic reports. Evaluates program budgets/income.
- Assist with the recruitment of residents.
- Responsible for program oversight when Supervisor is off-site.
- Coaches and mentors lower-level staff.
- Delegates work and oversees task completion.
- Assists in developing operational goals, objectives, and standards for unit, programs, and projects.
- Coordinates with appropriate University offices to ensure timely publication and dissemination of materials.
- Assist with the maintenance, security, and disposition of confidential records.
- Attends department/stakeholder meetings.
- Plans for and assists with new resident, student, and/or client orientation.
- Create reports and program documentation.
- Oversees the completion of routine program maintenance activities.
- Recommends innovative plans for design or quality improvement of unit programs/procedures.
- Participates in or lead committees.
- May lead internal project team.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Job Requirements
---
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in business, education, health, or related field.
- 36 months of administrative or program coordination experience.
Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty, and staff
- Composition and proofreading skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Computer skills, including proficiency in navigating and maintaining databases, Excel proficiency required.
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
- Highly organized and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations
- Strong initiative to solve problems.
