Demonstrates advanced knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization and completes complex assignments. Integrates complex elements from other specialties into work assignments. Responsible for program oversight when Supervisor is off-site. Serves as team leader, mentoring and delegating work to lower-level staff.
Duties:
- Coordinates and facilitates programs.
- Assists with developing training materials for program directors and coordinators.
- Develops and maintains relationships with departments and programs, and participating institutions to ensure they understand accreditation requirements and processes.
- Cultivates and maintains relationships with program administrators, program directors, and other colleagues both internal and external to OU College of Medicine to ensure success in meeting accreditation.
- Compiles and prepares periodic reports.
- Responsible for program oversight when Supervisor is off-site.
- Coaches and mentors lower-level staff. Delegates work and oversees task completion.
- Assists in developing operational goals, objectives, and standards for unit, programs, and projects.
- Attends partner/stakeholder meetings.
- Plans for and assists with new employee, student, and/or client orientation.
- Creates reports and program documentation.
- Oversees the completion of routine program accreditation activities.
- Recommends innovative plans for design or quality improvement of unit programs/procedures.
- Participates in or lead committees.
- May lead internal project team.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor' s Degree in Business, Education, Health, or related field AND:
- 36 months of administrative or program coordination experience.
Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty, and staff.
- Composition and proofreading skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Computer skills, including proficiency in navigating and maintaining databases.
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
- Highly organized and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations.
- Strong initiative to solve problems.
Advertised Physical Requirements:
- Physical: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to engage in repetitive motion. Communicate effectively.
- Environmental: Standard Office Environment
Departmental Preferences:
- Knowledge of ACGME Institutional and Program Requirements.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to the University and educational programs.
- Previous experience in a residency or fellowship program, or GME office
