LEAD DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHER (FULL-TIME, DAYS)

University of Washington Medical Center – Northwest – Ultrasound has an outstanding opportunity for a DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHER 

WORK SCHEDULE
• FULL-TIME; 100% FTE; 40 HOURS PER WEEK
• Day Shift

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Under the direction of a radiologist, the Ultrasonographer performs diagnostic medical ultrasound examinations accurately, independently, and efficiently.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
• Advanced imaging and diagnostic services in North Seattle
• Radiology at UWMC-Northwest is equipped with the advanced diagnostic imaging technology available. Our board-certified radiologists have specialty training in cardiac imaging, neuroimaging, musculoskeletal, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine and body and breast imaging. Along with our team of expert imaging technologists, they are committed to diagnosing illnesses and injuries quickly and effectively so treatment can begin.
• We take time and attention with each patient to explain procedures, so they’ll know what to expect every step of the way.
• Radiology Services at UW Medical Center - Northwest offers routine radiology, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

May be required to work on-call.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of diagnostic ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and registered in abdominal and obstetrical ultrasound by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) AND four years of experience performing the work of a diagnostic medical sonographer
OR equivalent education/experience.
