Job Description:

The Department of Accounting & Law seeks a full-time lecturer in Law for the delivery of courses in Business Law and Ethics in the School of Business. Must be available to teach during daytime business hours. Courses taught will include both undergraduate and graduate courses. A JD from an ABA-recognized law school is required. Professional experience in the practice of law is required. Experience in teaching university-level law courses is required.

The successful candidate will also serve as the Coordinator of the Law Area. The Law Area Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and staffing all Law Area course offerings, law faculty management, law curriculum development, and liaising with the Chair of the Department of Accounting and Law regarding all accreditation matters.


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • A JD from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization by May 2023
  • Applicants must address in their application their ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
  • Professional experience in the practice of law                                
  • Prior experience in teaching university-level law courses with demonstrated success

Professional Rank and Salary Range: Lecturer, 10 months
