Laborer

Clarion University is creating a pool for use in filling temporary short term needs for grounds laborer positions. The pool will be used to fill positions on a recurring as needed basis for the period of January 1, 2014 through June 30, 2014. Applicants to the pool selected for interview and later selected for inclusion in the pool will be notified of their status by the university.

Qualified individuals must be able to perform strenuous work on a full time basis and be able to lift and carry up to 25 – 50 pounds without assistance; ability to grasp and handle materials and equipment; ability to work on feet 80%-90% of each day; ability to climb and work on ladders.

Preference will be given to applicant with one year prior experience in a professional grounds keeping capacity.

Applicants must complete a successful on campus interview and prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification and criminal background check.
