This position will be responsible for conducting technical laboratory work in support of the UW Tumor Immune Microenvironment (TIME) Lab under the leadership and supervision of Principal Investigator Venu Pillarisetty, MD. The goal of the TIME Lab is to develop a precise understanding of the nature of the adaptive immune response to solid tumors, in order to develop effective immunotherapies for pancreatic and colorectal carcinoma. In this research also is hoping to further shed light on aspects of tumor biology that reach across many tumor types.

The work of the TIME Lab is funded by numerous sponsors including the US Department of Defense, the National Institutes of Health, the Cancer Research institute, the Seattle Translational Tumor Research group, and private industry. This position will coordinate with and provide technical support, within the scope of the position, for the research conducted by Dr. Pillarisetty, Assistant Professor Teresa Kim, M.D., Acting Instructor Karan Kohli, Ph.D., and Research Scientist Heidi Kenerson. The position will additionally have opportunity to collaborate with other Department of Surgery investigators including Drs. Ray Yeung, Jim Park, and Jonathan Sham.
