The position is a Laboratory Group Manager and Coordinator for this multi-PI group. The successful candidate will provide technical and administrative support as well as supervision for conducting experiments, and organizing, archiving, and curating datasets. The position entails coordinating across five laboratories by maintaining shared lab resources, workspaces, and databases, and training/supervising personnel on common group experiments and maintaining laboratory safety compliance. The position also entails performing and coordinating cellular and molecular wet laboratory experiments, and training personnel in laboratory bench work and safety practices. Experimental approaches include processing of brain tissue and other samples for assays, microscopy imaging methods, and data analyses.

The nature of the work includes managerial responsibilities and independent performance of experiments and analyses of data, which often involve troubleshooting and making decisions made under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, while still producing effective end results. The position requires expertise and involves overseeing projects of moderate scope and/or complexity as well as coordination among the affiliated research groups.

The candidate should have technical experience in various cellular/molecular sample preparation and experimental techniques, and experience working in teams and supervising and mentoring others in a laboratory setting.


Bachelor's degree required with 3-5 years of related experience.
