Physical Requirements
Intermittent use of computer workstation and repetitive motion. Occasional standing or walking with objects up to 10 pounds. Occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50 pounds. Regular job related travel.

Primarily day shift, with some early mornings and evening hours when needed.
Job Summary
The Clinical Laboratory at UK Healthcare is seeking an experienced technologist to assist in the standardization of Point of Care testing in multiple ambulatory clinic locations.
The primary role would be to create training modules and competency tools for POC tests performed in the clinic locations and train Ambulatory POC Supervisors in utilization of the provided tools to maintain compliance with regulatory standards. This position will report up to the Outreach Coordinator and the section Medical Director. This employee will serve as a resource for all Ambulatory POC testing supervisors.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
MS Excel, word, knowledge of CAP and TJC compliance and OIG regulations.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
MT or MLS certified (ASCP) and two years of laboratory experience preferred.
