Title: Lab Support Technical Specialist 
Location:  UC Medical Center
Department: Pathology
Shift: Day/Evening (1130am to 800pm)
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours a week

Primary Purpose:
Provides technical expertise supporting specimen collection, specimen processing and customer service functions in the laboratory. Provides training and competency assessment for laboratory support personnel and external customers.

Qualifications

 

Knowledge and Skills
Education: High school diploma or GED required; college science preferred.
Years of Experience: Two years of laboratory experience preffered.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good teaching, time management, organizational, and planning skills are required; excellent interpersonal skills; and leadership experience is required.
