Summary of Duties

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry within the College of Arts and Sciences seeks a Lab Demonstrator to join our team. Lab Demonstrator will assist General Chemistry Lab Supervisor with the development, implementation, and setup of general chemistry labs; assist with the development and preparation of teaching aids including laboratory manuals, Carmen assignments and laboratory rubrics; monitor TA adherence to grading policies and deadlines; assist Gen Chem Lab Supervisor and TA training coordinator with the training of graduate students, undergraduate students and staff teaching assistants; develop ongoing TA training materials; assist with responding to student emails; other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
