Position Summary: 
 
Under supervision the Lab assistant will maintain a transgenic/knockout mouse colony. The incumbent, in cooperation with postdocs and graduate students, will also perform the analysis of these animals (and primary cells) using routine techniques in molecular biology, biochemistry and cell culture. The Lab assistant will order supplies, enter data using standard computer software, and keep accurate and clear records of all experimental work.
 
Compensation Range:
$18.47 - $19.86

Required:
Ability to follow detailed written instructions.
Ability to maintain organized lab notes.
Knowledge of routine lab equipment (centrifuge, PCR machine, etc)
Ability to use computers.
Knowledge of molecular biology/cell biology/mouse techniques and (e.g. centrifugation,
cloning, pipetting, aseptic techniques, Luciferase assay; mouse dissection, isolate primary
cells, etc).
