Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives:
Communication - The student narrator/copy writer will learn life skills by being working closely with clients to understand, clarify, and present products by learning key communication skills.
Critical Thinking – The student narrator/copy writer will be tasked with researching client product, analyzing, and summarizing Kickstarter writeups based on the clients needs in order to create a successful Kickstarter campaign..
Professionalism – The student narrator/copy writer will be mentored to learn professionalism by interacting with supervisors, teammates, Beehive clients, and other community members.
The Kickstarter campaigns will be designed to provide crowdfunding to companies through the Kickstarter platform. Each campaign will run 30-days with a focus on pre-campaign of CROWD. The Kickstarter campaign projects will be overseen by a Subject Matter Expert (SME) from the Dahlkemper School of Business faculty.
This position will:
  • In coordination with the Subject Matter Expert strategize on appropriate copy for each Kickstarter campaign company.
  • Coordinate with the campaign companies to gather background on possible content.
  • Write copy for each campaign.
  • Upload content to appropriate Kickstarter pages.
  • Write follow-up content to engage campaign backers.
Required Qualifications
  • Applicant should be enrolled as either an undergraduate or graduate student at Gannon University.
  • Should have experience in writing engaging social-media or website content for an organization’s owned media assets.
  • Writing samples helpful.

Able to manage time and meet daily deadlines
Good communications skills
Have a computer
Able to be efficient with the job requirements
Physical Demands
Discipline to work independently.
Ability to sync up for meetings with the client and internal staff.
