Khoury Graduate Experiential Leaning & Career Services Advisor, Network- Khoury College of Computer Sciences

About the Opportunity

Responsibilities:
 

The Khoury College of Computer Sciences seeks an energetic, self-starter to serve a growing population of graduate students in a dynamic and fast pasted university. The Khoury Graduate Experiential Leaning & Career Services Advisor will advise Khoury graduate students at emerging network campuses on career and coop as well as provide network-wide support for the Khoury Graduate Career Peer Advising Program and MS Align Career Preparation Programs and Initiatives. The Khoury Graduate Career Services Program Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Khoury College Network Campus Stakeholders including Khoury Graduate Academic Advising, Khoury Graduate Faculty, and Network-Campus Career Advisors to support students’ career preparation from a holistic standpoint.

Furthermore, the Khoury Graduate Experiential Leaning & Career Services Advisor will act as the primary Co-op/Career Advisor for Khoury graduate students on emerging campuses (currently, Arlington, Miami, and Align Online). They will provide individualized co-op and career coaching and planning for those students throughout their program of study, before and during their co-op searches, to their time on co-op, to their full-time job searches. They will support the Assistant Director for Align Career Services in the development and implementation of network-wide career services strategy.

Qualifications:
 

Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred. 2-3 years of experience required, preferably in a higher education setting. Individual must have strong communication skills (verbal and written), proven experience collecting and reviewing data, experience working with a diverse student population a must. (Note: 80% of the Graduate program are international students.) He/she must have experience working independently and as a member of a team.
