This position offers an exciting career opportunity to design a new initiative and influence some of the most talented and promising young leaders in our country.

Founded in 2016, the Kenan Scholars Program’s mission is to provide a world-class, transformative scholarship experience to exceptional undergraduate business students. Scholars will work directly with academic thought leaders, industry and business executives, serial start-up entrepreneurs, economic development practitioners, civic leaders, policymakers and others. Currently, the program provides six specific opportunities for Scholars: Lunch and Learn speaker series; Senior year research seminar; Summer internships; Enrichment fund; Mentoring program; and Networking events.

The director is responsible for overall management, strategic program planning, marketing, staff supervision, budget management, and reporting requirements of the Kenan Scholars Program. Other specific duties include: developing experiential learning activities including treks and retreats; mentoring students in the development of research projects; developing a schedule of guest lecturers; recruiting high quality applicants; overseeing mentorship program; representing and marketing the program at external meetings; developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; and evaluating the program effectiveness.

The director reports to the Executive Director of the Kenan Institute.
