Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research and/or the Director of Institutional Effectiveness, the Junior Research Associate will initially support the Title III institution-wide task forces, as assigned, through research, documentation, and coordination of all relevant stakeholders. The Junior Research Associate may, as assigned, work with external consultants assisting with evaluation of systems and software that govern institutional data collection and storage; evaluation of the existing data holdings and identify clear gaps in the data collection and storage process; and, evaluation existing process documentation and communication for both completeness and adoption across the institution.
The Junior Research Associate will assist as assigned to actuate the evaluation recommendations of the task forces working with an external consultant to affect a formal audit of the systems, data, and processes against industry standards or effective practices helping to identify gaps in processes, documentation, workflows, etc.
The Junior Research Associate will engage with the task forces and relevant stakeholders to document processes and evaluation of the systems strategic plan developed from the systems evaluation and gap analysis. As appropriate, this position will assist with the audit and assessment of the systems strategic plan implementation.
Perform other duties, assignments, or responsibilities as may be directed by the Director of Institutional Research and/or the Director of Institutional Effectiveness falling within the role and scope of this position.
As a student position, it is expected the incumbent work no more than 20 hours per week for 36 weeks (inclusive of fall and spring term)
