Dr. Warren J. Leonard’s laboratory in the Immunology Center, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, NIH, DHHS, is recruiting a Research Biologist/Immunologist. The successful candidate would join an exciting team focused on elucidating the biology, signaling, and molecular regulation/epigenetics of the immune system. Work focuses on cytokines, with models including tumor immunology, autoimmunity, allergy, and infectious diseases, and studies ranging from basic immunological, biochemical, regulation, and epigenetic mechanisms to human disease.
The candidate should have received a Ph.D. and/or an M.D. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, energetic, and excited about science and will perform state-of-the-art experiments and help manage the lab. Experience with a variety of specialized laboratory techniques in immunology, molecular biology, and biochemistry, as well as related to next-generation sequencing are highly desirable but most important is the ability and interest to learning and pursue research projects.
