Primary Purpose: The telephony architect’s main function is to plan,  design and oversee the installation and management of telephony infrastructure. The telephony architect mentors & provides instructions for telephony engineers to accomplish these tasks.

Qualifications

 

Knowledge and Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred.

Years of Experience: Three to five years equivalent experience, minimum required. Six to ten years equivalent experience, preferred.

Required Skills and Knowledge: This position requires 5-7 years’ experience in the telephony technologies. A BS degree in Computer Sciences is preferred but may consider some level of education coupled with direct extensive telephony experience. This position must possess an expert level of skill with telephony design, configuration and management including experience in TCP/IP networking. Previous experience with telephony technologies including extensive experience troubleshooting enterprise telephony networks, extensive experience with network equipment, and extensive experience with network/telephony monitoring and management tools is required. The employee must have good interpersonal skills, time management skills, communication skills, be self-motivated learner and be skilled in project management.
