Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45 pm, limited after hours


Job Summary: The IT Technical Specialist III performs advanced professional IT activities for a specialized, complex assignment or functional area requiring application of an advanced professional knowledge of IT principles, practices, and procedures. Requires evaluation, originality or ingenuity. May supervise and/or direct the work of project teams or other lower level staff.


Additional Department Summary: Must be able to interact with all levels of users throughout the organization to assist with finding solutions that are efficient and focused for the practice(s) or department(s) involved. Works with all Health Informatics/UAOIT team members in developing solutions that are cost-effective, efficient and focused for the practice(s) involved.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree ; OR Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of IT experience; OR Associate’s degree and four (4) years of IT experience; OR High School Diploma or GED and six (6) years of IT experience. Knowledge of advanced programming, networking, system, multimedia, instructional technology skills or project management methods and applications. May require intermediate or advanced level training or certification.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 4 years prior Information Technology experience required

Requires ability to drive to all CCHS locations, including satellite clinics. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.


Preferred Qualifications: 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• A+ certification preferred
• Windows and Mac OSX experience
