Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor Degree within Computer Science or closely related field of study.
  • Minimum 1 years of professional IT experience within Infrastructure & Networking Engineering which includes demonstrated experience in planning, building/implementation of communication Networks (LAN/WAN/VPN) that support high performance voice, data, video and wireless network services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge in basic TCP/IP, VLAN programming and diagnosis, switch management with emphasis on Wireless Access Points and Controllers. 
  • Knowledge of network routing (including TCP/IP, UDP/BGP), VLANs, VPNs, Trunking.
  • Preferred knowledge of configuration of wireless controllers and management tools.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient MS-Office usage, calendaring, and web-based tools.
  • Must communicate at all levels of the University, have strong customer service principles, be a quick learner.
  • Valid Driver’s License required. 
  • Preferred have the ability to read blueprints as related to network deployments.
  • Must react and function effectively in cases of critical network outages.
  • Slight travel within University campuses via car, campus shuttle, or walking.
