POSITION SUMMARY:
The College of Arts & Sciences is looking to hire an IT Support Specialist to support with the technology needs of college. This position will focus on insuring CAS's technology is current and in alignment with USF IT standards. In addition, the IT Support Specialist will perform technical support work for users such as Faculty/staff and provide support for CAS specific conference rooms and meetings/events. This position will also be responsible for assisting users with the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and support of IT hardware and software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Takes ownership of customer issues from first contact assuring that the customer knows the person receiving their issue or request is dedicated to assisting them; further not letting the issue or request go until the customer has an answer, or until they are connected directly with the appropriate resource.
Maintains and keeps track of all college technology assets from research equipment, desktop/laptop and room technology. Works closely with CAS leadership on setting standards of college needs and interfaces with USF IT on a regular basis to be in alignment with standards, policies and trends.
Develops accurate technical documentation and knowledge management content (internal and customer facing) related to college technology and works closely with USF IT on providing up to date information.
Reviews existing processes, policies, knowledge assets and services for improvement opportunities, and works with management and senior peers to implement necessary changes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with four years of experience in related positions. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
