UITS Learning Spaces designs, installs, and supports audio/visual (A/V) technologies for classrooms, conference rooms and other spaces across multiple IU locations. 

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Works with A/V designers and engineers during the planning and implementation phases of projects to ensure coordination across teams.
  • Ensures that documentation is completed.
  • Ensures that timelines are appropriate.
  • Ensures that reporting and metrics are completed.

General Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning and implementation of IT project(s), often involving university staff from different teams and external partners on interrelated project tasks.
  • Designs, creates, executes, and balances project work plans and work-flow documents; works within project timelines and proposes revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Stays within budget constraints and monitors progress of projects to ensure that quality and cost constraints are met.
  • Responsible for reporting and documenting project milestones to share with leaders, stakeholders, and/or project partners.
  • Researches and stays up-to-date with IT project management best practices, approaches, and trends.
  • May provide guidance to temporary or hourly staff.

EDUCATION

Required

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in related field)

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Preferred

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or other project manager certifications

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. This position may require some travel between campuses. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

This position can be based in either Bloomington, Indiana or Indianapolis, Indiana.
