Glimpse of the Day-Day
Your role as an IT professional at Texas A&M Law School requires you to diagnose and resolve technical problems that faculty, staff, and students encounter. This might involve issues with audio-visual and teleconferencing issues in the classroom, workstation technical support (PC or Mac), troubleshooting other IT-related concerns. While previous experience is preferred, your willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is equally important. You will get exposure to VM Ware, remote software application, networking, and Active Directory and GPO creation. Some issues might have a higher level of visibility and urgency. Being able to react effectively and promptly to such high-profile incidents is crucial. This could involve swift communication, coordination with other team members, and ensuring a quick resolution.
Texas A&M Law School, in Fort Worth, is the primary location though some travel may be needed to support the San Antonio and Legal Clinics campuses as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Four months (1 semester) of student worker and/or customer service experience
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work independently to support classroom activities
Being able to react effectively in a stressful environment to high profile service issues
Prefer experience with remote software application for end user support
Prefer experience with Audio Visual setups and troubleshooting
Prefer hardware and software troubleshooting experience
Prefer experience with developing how-to documentation
Prefer functional knowledge of Windows OS, MS Outlook/Office/365 applications
Prefer functional knowledge of Mac OS
