IT Inventory Specialist, Senior

The Senior IT Inventory Specialist serves a senior role in oversight of a large IT storeroom with several separate locations. They are responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of IT fixed assets, stock control, and complete stock record system. This position handles ordering, identification, tracking and dispensation of IT equipment. Handling of equipment may include specific IT functions necessary to prepare equipment for dispatch as well as prior to surplus. As a senior position, they may serve as mentor and provide assistance to other staff members, suggest and document procedures, and lead some storeroom initiatives.

·       Coordinate inventory control and storage. Track all equipment from receipt to dispatch to surplus using IT inventory software such as Remedy or ServiceNow.   

·       Become proficient in the use of IT inventory software including entry, updates, and queries necessary for inventory management.  

·       Prepare and issue purchase requisitions necessary to maintain IT inventory as well as supplies necessary for storeroom operations.  Obtain price quotes from vendors as needed for purchase.  

·       Prepare stock for dispatch to technicians, which requires some basic IT knowledge and skills.

·       Provide assistance and training to less senior storeroom staff members in storeroom procedures and operations.

·       Maintain stock levels of specific IT assets and notify management when an order is needed for depleted stock.  

·       Prepare periodic analyses of stock utilization trends and expenses as requested by management.

·       In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $15.68 - $24.30 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: None
Licensure: None

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in IT, finance, or related field

Experience: 2 – 5 years experience in storeroom/inventory control operations

Skills:  Proficiency in office productivity software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods.   It requires some physical labor in moving IT equipment up to 20 lbs on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
