Description of primary duties and responsibilities: | Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit: The mission of Information Technology Services is to explore, implement, maintain, and support the uses of technology to achieve the University’s academic and administrative objectives effectively and efficiently as stated in University’s strategic plan. |
Description of Work Continued: | This position is eligible for flexible work arrangements, including remote/hybrid work. Minimum Education And Experience Requirements: | Masters and 2‐4 yrs experience; or Bachelors in computer science, information technology or related area and 3‐5 years’ experience in information technology field related to the position’s role. |
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: | Working technical knowledge of: - Ellucian Banner - Databases – (e.g., Oracle, MSSQL) - Programming languages – (e.g., SQL, Java) - Reporting Tools – (e.g., WebFOCUS, Argos, ePrint) - Document Capture – (e.g., Xtender, Hyland, NOLIJ, eTranscript) - Scheduling – (e.g., Cron, UC4) • Firsthand experience with business requirements gathering/analysis. •Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices. •Experience in the operation and analysis of software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies. • Knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices. • Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources • Must possess the ability to recognize and resolve system and software related problems; work independently and make necessary decisions within department guidelines; perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively; communicate technical and complex information both orally and in writing. |
Preferred Qualifications: | • Master’s Degree with two to four years of experience • 4+ years equivalent work experience in a position overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software, systems, or products. |
