Montana Digital Academy (MTDA) invites applications for the position of IT and Integrations Manager to oversee the implementation, integration, and management of the entire MTDA organization's IT infrastructure, systems, and processes. This includes managing hardware and software resources, developing and implementing IT policies and procedures, developing and implementing security protocols and procedures, and ensuring the security and reliability of the organization's information systems. The position requires a high degree of initiative, leadership, and independent decision-making to manage the IT environment efficiently, collaborate with employees locally and remotely, and adapt to emerging technologies and trends.  This position will operate with significant autonomy and independence to manage projects and scope, timeline, resources, and drive the projects to completion. The position will also be responsible for long-term goals and strategic planning to identify and best utilize resources available. This position requires strong organizational planning skills and a broad understanding of IT systems, IT implementations, and technology/business systems.

Position Details

  • Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, Letter of Appointment and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including Insurance package, mandatory retirement plan, partial tuition waiver, and wellness program.
  • Salary for this position is $70,000 per year commensurate with qualifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or closely related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the information technology support field. 
    • The five years of experience can come from computer systems administration or information technology support experience and should include hardware deployment, software installation, configuration, and management in a client services support environment.
    • An associate's degree in applied computing, computer science, cybersecurity, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and seven (7) or more years of experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of application programming interface (API)
  • Proficiency with hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of at least one major desktop operating system (Windows, MacOS, or ChromeOS).
  • Strong understanding of at least one major cloud-based productivity suite (Google Workplace or Office 365).
  • Ability to seek expert information and training on unknown software and hardware platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in IT supporting K-12 programs and users (preferred) or higher education programs and users.
  • Experience in IT purchasing for K-12 programs (preferred) or higher education programs.
  • Experience in system integration through API systems.
  • Experience leading IT teams for K-12 programs (preferred) or higher education programs.
  • Experience writing and evaluating technical specifications for RFP and other vendor vetting processes.
  • Certifications to show competence in different aspects of the role, including CompTIA A+, Microsoft, Google Workspace, CISSP, CAPM, CEH, PMP, etc.
  • Experience with cloud-based applications, virtualization, and remote work technologies.
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and Student Information Systems in an educational setting.
  • Proven experience in change management and organizational transformation.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools, such as SQL or Power BI.
