IT Analyst, Senior, EMR

Utilizes a combination of programming and analytical skills to formulate/define system scope and objectives for the Electronic Medical Record System which includes testing validating and implementing EMR screens used by clinicians performing and documenting patient care activities.  Responsible for leading smaller internal projects and keeping track of team assignments as well as managing the workflow of clinics. The main responsibility with be to support population health initiatives and work with Data Analytics team and UPG to interface with insurance payors and help capture value based care measures.

  • Get certified on EpicCare Ambulatory, Reporting Work Bench, and healthy Planet applications.
  • Coordinate with UPG to help maintain the roster of patients from each insurance payor and to help capture value based care metrics.
  • Responsible for coordination and performance of analysis design development testing validation and implementation of EMR screens used by clinicians performing and documenting patient care activities leveraging system functionality to support clinical process and organizational goals.
  • Understands the use of clinical computer applications which assist in the management and processing of clinical information and delivery of health care services.  
  • Provides ongoing support of the EMR system and the end-users.
  • Under general supervision formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: -

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience: 5 years of relevant experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Job requires sitting for prolonged periods.  Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
