JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Maintains a general knowledge of the endowment's portfolio performance and asset allocation.
  • Keeps abreast of each manager within the assigned asset class, their holdings (sector, country, concentration), guidelines and benchmarks, and industry/portfolio events, trends, and drivers for each manager within an asset class.
  • Analyzes market, asset classes, and manager performance data on a monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date basis and reports to team.
  • Gathers attribution characteristics, develops quarterly Capital Markets overview, summarizes manager commentary and personal observations, and prepares and presents Ibbotson charts for assigned asset classes.
  • Develops quarterly charts for domestic and international market performance metrics.
  • Determines and presents highlights of major changes/drivers of performance.
  • Prepares for, schedules and develops agendas for meetings with current Investment Managers.
  • Summarizes performance, identifies areas of risk or concern and conducts due diligence on prospective Investment Managers.
  • Attends industry and client conferences.
  • Regularly reviews managers' reports and press reviews.
  • Tracks organizational changes for each firm.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting required.
  • Excellent financial modeling skills required, professional financial or investment related experience desired.
  • Pursuit of advanced degree or CFA designation is encouraged.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
