Under the supervision of the Director of Industry Connections, coordinates programs and services that directly affect the quality and quantity of enriching internships for Arts & Sciences students. Using specialized knowledge and training, implements on-going outreach and engagement activities resulting in expanded access to career-oriented internships. 

In partnership with Assistant Directors of Industry Connections, support employer or alumni (as employers) internship-focused initiatives that are responsive to student interests and needs. The primary core of these duties is the development and on-going growth of employer resources, programs or knowledge that facilitate early and increased employer-to-student engagement. Such initiatives may include the development of emerging college-wide internship standards (virtual internships or creative inquiry), consultation on practices attracting early career talent, and the curation of student-focused communication promoting top internships (regional, national, globally). This role will also support career integration into the curriculum by teaching career and internship courses and helping academic departments to create or enhance their internship programs. When appropriate, will represent the Center on industry and/or campus related advisory boards/committees that share the Center’s vision for student success. Specifically provide leadership for and develop networks and resources that enhance shared knowledge (within the College and across the institution) on internship best practices and trends. Work closely with stakeholders and Reporting and Analytics Associate to monitor, track, and evaluate student participation in internships. The position includes some travel, weekend and evening work, and the successful completion of background check(s) including professional references and criminal history. 

Required: Master’s degree in arts & sciences, business administration, or appropriate field required. Four years of relevant experience required. Experience building strong rapport with academic departments and administrators; experience in program planning; embraces operational excellence, including being organized, and very detail oriented.

Desired: Knowledge of and experiences with implementing contemporary practices in internship practices; superior knowledge of federal, state, and university regulations governing internship experiences; successful track record in relationship management and/or engaging senior leadership (in-and-outside of higher education) for the benefit of successful student career outcomes; experience with Career Management System (Handshake).

The pay range for this job profile is $49,800-$66,400. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
