International Student Office Assistant (Federal Workstudy/Student Worker)

Primary Function: International Student Office Assistant is responsible for providing to students needing walk in assistance, along with providing support to the department staff and working on special projects as assigned.

Essential Functions:

Administrative Support

  • Provide assistance to the Director of Global partnerships.
  • Assist International students to adapt to the new campus life
  • Assist the director to make arrangements for the student events
  • Manage posts on Facebook and China WeChat.
  • Write an articles for Wechat (Chinese)
  • Assist answering Chinese students and the parents in China by Wechat
  • Assist GCC (China) administrators

Other functions

  • Special Projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled full time
  • Ability to handle a variety of responsibilities and able to multi-task
  • Outstanding customer service skills required, along with ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good verbal communication skills in the English language and ability to clearly explain basic processes and procedures of all aspects of international services
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Fluent in Chinese (written and verbal)

Working Condition:

  • Normal Office environment
  • Position is primarily 8-5, but evenings and weekends may be required throughout the year.
