Appointment Dates
Full-time temporary position for 3 years with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

Time Base/Hours/Units per Week
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Must be willing to travel to both domestic and international destinations.

Position Description
Under the general supervision of the Director of International Recruitment, the International Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing various aspects of assigned international recruitment activities to increase highly qualified international student enrollment at the university. The incumbent actively communicates and counsels prospective high school, community college and international students and advisors on a daily basis either in person, via online and telephone. Identifies, cultivates potential partners, and maintains existing partner relations in the US and overseas. Coordinates logistical support for educational fairs including registration, shipping materials to overseas educational fairs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of admissions regulations and certification policies of the CSU system, and the functions of International Admissions, Enrollment Services, Academic Advising Office. Strong interview/advising skills. Ability to interpret, retain and apply complex academic policies. Ability to gather and analyze data. Ability to reason logically, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and faculty. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and retain large amounts of detailed information. Ability to advise students in personal interviews or written correspondence. Ability and interest in working with a diverse population and sensitivity to the needs of all students. Knowledge of and compliance with relevant NCAA and conference rules.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job-related field and a minimum of 2 years of work experience in international education, admissions or international student recruitment required.

Licenses / Certificates
CA Driver's License, Class C
