Job Summary
In collaboration with the Director and Assistant Director, develop, implement and manage the recruitment strategies for the college’s undergraduate and graduate programs (on and off campus) to prospective students both domestically and internationally, with a primary focus on international undergraduate and graduate students, and domestic graduate students. Will support all domestic undergraduate endeavors as needed, including outreach to high schools, community colleges, universities and other organizations to recruit students. May assist with supervision and training of student ambassadors and other staff roles. Will assist with implementation of metrics to measure success of recruitment to enrollment and communication strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create an effective communication and marketing strategy to encourage prospective students to select UTA Engineering.
  • Collaborate with CoE marketing staff and Enrollment Management on messaging and creation of print and on-line materials, including brochures, bulletins, email and phone campaigns and social media posts.
  • Conduct college/high school/advising center visits, information sessions, and other special events.

  • Foster relationships with secondary schools, community colleges and universities locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
  • Represent the college at college/career fairs, conferences, high school/community college/university recruitment events, and other opportunities as needed.
  • Events include, but are not limited to, international tours, virtual and in-person partner/agency information sessions, TACRAO/ TACAC/ IACAC and similar events, and UTA hosted events.
  • These may require night or weekend commitments as well as travel, including international.

  • Working with the Director and Assistant Director, create and present information appropriate to the audience about student resources, engineering programs, application processes and other relevant topics at university and other events.
  • Domestically, these may include Maverick Experience, Senior Academic Excellence Days, orientations and similar programs.

  • Work collaboratively with Enrollment Management, Global Engagement, Scholarship, university and academic department staff and others in planning, implementing, forecasting enrollments and travel options for optimum results.
  • Assist Enrollment Management with training of representative/agency and departmental staff as needed.

  • Develop/monitor metrics to measure success of program strategies and adjust as needed.
  • Work with the CoE Recruitment Director and Assistant Director to create international and domestic travel budgets.
  • Collect, maintain and distribute statistical data to CoE staff and others as requested.
  • Participate in university and community committees as appropriate. This may include Slate/CRM, international committees, graduate committees and others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years higher education recruitment experience and two (2) years international experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with marketing, including territory management.
  • Experience with Slate, PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office Suite products.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of international education systems, foreign credential evaluation and relevant immigration regulations.
  • Solid interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and ability to work with a variety of people from varying backgrounds.
  • Outstanding organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
